Gabriel has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia at venues such as Wigmore Hall,The Arnold Schönberg Center,St John Smith’s Square,Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Conway Hall,The Barbican Hall,ThePrincess Alexandra Hall,The Holywell Music Room,St Martin-in-the Fields,Café OTO,Jinan Concert Hall and Bechstein Halls in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Changsha. In 2024 Gabriel won First Prize at both the Muriel Taylor Cello Competition and the Irish Heritage UK competition, held at Wigmore Hall. He also won first prize at the 4th Edition of the International Contemporary Music Interpretation Competition (adjudicated by Giovanni Sollima) and was subsequently invited to perform a solo cello recital at the Accademia Filarmonica Romana. He has been broadcast numerous times on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4as a soloist and chamber musician and has been invited to attend festivals across the UK and Europe such as the Venice Biennale, Aalborg Kammermusik Festival, Across Festival,Aldeburgh Festival,Brussels Cello Festival,Schiermonnikoog, Santander Encounterof Music and Academy,the International Summer Academy of the MDW in Vienna and IMS Prussia Cove. A keen chamber music player, Gabriel works in the Chamber Music Department at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as Hans Keller Fellows with his multi award winning quartet, the Elmore Quartet. The Quartet were awarded first prize at the 74th Royal Overseas League International Chamber Music Competition and third prize at the prestigious Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition in Reggio Emilia, Italy 2024. They hold the position of Quartet in Residence at the MusicAbility Foundation in Penzance, where they deliver workshops to primary school students and perform in a regular concert series.
